Before your treatment
Am I a candidate for stem cell therapy?
After reviewing your case and your studies, the specialist for your condition tells you honestly whether you are a candidate, before you spend anything. Write to us on WhatsApp to start.
How do I know which treatment I need?
Tell us what you are living with. We match you with the right specialist, who designs the protocol for your case.
What information do you need from me?
Recent imaging (an MRI or X-ray for joints and spine), recent blood work for the other protocols, and a short medical history. If you do not have them, your specialist tells you what to prepare.
How far in advance do I need to book?
There is no long waiting list. Once your plan is agreed, your dates are arranged around your calendar.
Who cannot have this treatment?
Anyone with active cancer. Your specialist reviews your health in your online consultation, before you travel.
About the treatment
What kind of stem cells do you use?
Mesenchymal stem cells from Wharton’s jelly, the tissue of the umbilical cord. Read more about our cells.
Does the application hurt?
It is done under local anesthesia or sedation, depending on your protocol, so you stay comfortable throughout.
Is it safe?
Applications are performed in a fully equipped operating room, with ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance, by specialists. Your specialist reviews your individual health in your consultation before anything is booked.
How is this different from PRP or cortisone?
Cortisone and PRP are often used to manage symptoms for a while. Mesenchymal stem cells release signals that may help calm inflammation and support the body’s own repair processes. Your specialist explains what to expect in your case.
Is this approved by the FDA?
No. These therapies are not FDA-approved and are not a substitute for conventional medical care. That is why every case is reviewed by a specialist first.
When will I see results?
It depends on the condition and on each person. Cells work gradually, over weeks to months, and no honest medical team can promise a specific result.
Your trip
How many days do I need in Medellín?
Most protocols are one day of treatment with one night at the hotel. The whole-body IV takes four days. In both cases the hotel is included.
What is included in the price?
Your treatment, specialist consultations before and after, a 4-star hotel in the same building as the treatment center, airport pickup and every transfer, and a bilingual coordinator. Flights and meals are not included. See starting prices.
Is Medellín safe?
Your hotel and the treatment center are in El Poblado, one of the city’s most international neighborhoods, and your coordinator arranges every transfer. More about Medellín.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. You are looked after in English from your first message to your flight home.
Can I bring a companion?
Of course. Many patients travel with a partner or a family member, and your coordinator helps you plan for it.
Can I combine treatments in one trip?
Yes, and combined plans receive significant discounts. Your specialist plans the days so nothing overlaps.
After your treatment
What does recovery look like?
You rest at the hotel, one elevator away from the treatment center, with written care instructions and your coordinator a message away.
What follow-up do I get?
Online consultations with the same specialist once you are home, included in your price.
